Specialists warn that climate change is rapidly advancing, despite the agreements and strategies of officials. New information from specialists suggests that global temperature is due to rise by one degree Celsius in the next years, even if action is taken. So what solutions are there left?
Environmentalists warn that new solutions must be applied as soon as possible. They have considered the possibility of reducing gasses which help global warming advance, but it is not enough. Despite this measure, the global temperature is still bound to rise by one degree Celsius or 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit by 2050.
Although important, governmental decisions were made, such as the Paris Agreement, the terms are still weak against the way the situation is evolving. One of the most dangerous gasses which determine the accelerated process of climate change is carbon. So experts must focus on strategies to reduce the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere.
The Paris Agreement already thought of some ways and intended to implement the cuts. However, they need additional solutions. The level of carbon must be restricted even more, as the scientists suggest. By adding new cuts, they will manage to delay the deadline of the global temperature rising by one degree Celsius. So industry and economy will have to adjust and come up with new methods for energy.
Experts believe that new strategies in carbon cuts will gain them some additional twenty years to figure out proper ways of fighting the phenomenon. They also predict that the world warming by two degrees will bring even more adverse effects than what we are already experiencing. Although it may seem a small difference in terms of degrees, the effects are massive.
Another group of researchers in North Carolina conducted an experiment. They simulated the climate conditions on a computer and accelerated the phenomenon. According to their study, the global temperature will be considerably high, reaching a dangerous point, by 2051.
The recent years have been considered one of the hottest on record, highlighting the phenomenon of global warming. The process started to soar at the same time as industrialization, which means that our modern society and man’s activity triggered most of the phenomenon. On the other hand, specialists state that even without man’s help, global warming was due to happen, but not at such accelerated rhythm.
