Many researchers are on a quest for eternal youth, and some even claim to have found technologies which can stop the aging of the cells. However, a recent research comes here to disappoint them, showing how it’s mathematically impossible to fight aging. Moreover, it seems that these technologies are more bad than good, as they might cause cancer.
Scientists are on an unending quest against death and aging
Researchers have developed a study in which they look closely at what happens to the cells as the body grows old. After decoding these mechanisms, they can explore any possible ways to stop the process, and prevent the cells from getting degraded.
As soon as a cell dies, it is quickly replaced by a new one, but this can happen only for a limited period of time until they die and are no longer replaced. Also, these cells are subject to another debilitating process, as they lose their ability to function properly. There is no coming back from it, and this is when the body starts aging.
The anti-aging technique might give you cancer
This led to hundreds of scientists all over the world who started looking for ways to stop the degradation of cells. The most effective one seemed to closely monitor the cells and get rid of them as soon as they lose their function. However, it turns out this method is not really the safest. Such a technique might make cells grow a lot more rapidly than before, paving the way for the development of cancer.
Once the poorly-functioning cells are gone, the cancerous ones have more space to develop. This will lead to an unwanted result. People would not grow old at a slower pace, but rather develop cancer and die a lot more rapidly. Also, escaping death is simply impossible. Multicellular organisms are not meant to last forever and, whatever you do, these cells eventually die or stop functioning.
