Michael Diebold, the Leechburg Chief of Police, has recently been arrested and charged with several counts of unlawful sex with a minor. Josh Shapiro, the Attorney General, called Diebold’s behavior heinous and stated that the law has a zero-tolerance policy regarding minor sexual abuse.
Leechburg Chief of Police Identified as Sexual Predator
On Friday afternoon, Police Chief Michael Diebold has been apprehended during a police action orchestrated by the Child Predator Unit. Former Leechburg Chief of Police has been charged with coaxing minors with the intent of engaging in deviant sexual relationships.
AG Shapiro, who also read Diebold’s riot act, declared to the press that the former chief of police has been communicating intensively with underage individuals over an online platform under the assumed identity of KuteCop4U.
Rumors of Leechburg Chief of Police’s miscreance has reached the AG’s ears, and a surveillance operation has been initiated. Posing as a 14-year-old solicitant, an agent from the Child Predator Unit coaxed the Leechburg Chief of Police into agreeing to show up for a sordid meeting in Lower Burrell.
According to Shapiro’s press statement, the conversation between Diebold and the agent was disturbing, to say the least. Diebold was not greedy with his words, which he backed up with a series of inappropriate pictures.
After showing up at the designated place in Lower Burrell, the former Leechburg Chief of Police was taken into custody and charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a minor.
Baffling enough, Diebold made no attempt, whatsoever, to defend himself against the allegations. The man admitted to wanting to go to that place in order to have unlawful sexual contact with a minor. Furthermore, Diebold also told the Child Predator Unit agents that he was keenly aware of the fact that what the deed he was about to commit was illegal and, had he been caught, he would have been prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Commenting on the case of the Leechburg Chief of Police, Josh Shapiro declared that:
“This case is particularly heinous because the perpetrator is a public official, sworn to serve and protect the community.”
At the moment, Diebold has been arraigned and awaits his trial. The former Leechburg Chief of Police caught the attention of the public opinion last year, after being involved in a fireworks accident, in which he lost his arm. The man’s case was so mediatized that the community managed to raise the money need to cover Diebold’s medical expenses.
