Researchers have found some unique animals species. They have discovered more than 20 marine animals beneath the Indian Ocean. All of these species were found near thermal vents in the Indian Ocean.
They made a big survey and they weren’t expecting to find these marine animals. The animals that were found there were a limpet, 2 species of worms, two snails, and a new species of Hoff crab. All of these animals are newly found and there is no info about them.
Researchers believe that these marine animals might have migrated from other parts of the World before they got to the Indian Ocean. All of the species found now are new and unusual of the Indian Ocean.
Most of these animals are now exposed for the first time to humans. Researchers need to dig up more in order to find more about these marine animals and how they live. They need to know what they eat and where do they found their food.
This is not the first time researchers have found new animal species in that area because of the vents they use. These vents were used since the 1970s in order to find out more about the life of animals in the Indian Ocean.
Researchers need to find out where these animals came from and where do they live beside that area. The marine specialists have to figure out who were the animals from which these new species came from.
It is great news that new species of animals are being discovered these days when climate change is killing so many species. These newly found marine animals need to be observed in order to find out more about them and to know who to preserve them.
The vents that helped researchers discover these animals also have some gold and copper. The problem is that the discovery of these new animals prevents people from exploring that area in order to find gold because they might endanger the marine animals.
Researchers believe that it is much more important to save the animals than losing them for gold and copper deposits. They also said that they are very excited to find out more about the animals.
