It has customization options as well as exceptional speed of shooting. According to Canon, this new model is bound to replace the previous EOS 70D. It comes with the compatible EF-S 18-135 mm Nano USm lens which will improve any photographer’s skills. The new 80D has nearly three times the number of AF points. The Dual Pixel CMOS AF enables imaging and phase detections auto focus.
The camera features 24.2 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, with the ISO range of 100 to 1600 for stills and 100 to 12800 for video. It can record 1080p resolutions at 60 frames per second rates. From sports to wildlife or action, the new 80D responds extremely well. It captures anything you want in great detail. The new sensor allows incredible clarity as well as the possibility to crop in.
The 45 all cross-type point AF system and 7 frames per second shooting is able to freeze action with accurate precision. The AF points can be individually selected or grouped into areas, which enables a pin-point focus. Moreover, such option gives you control over composition no matter where the subjects are in the frame. Canon claims this new camera can adapt to its owner needs. EOS 80D was meticulously designed to offer photographers everything they want.
The Viewfinder displays 100% of the frame and the current settings. Also, you can easily switch to the 7.7cm (3.0”) Vari-angle Clear View LCD II Touch screen. This feature is perfect for movie shooting as well as Live View mode. What’s more, Canon’s Camera Connect application enables remote shooting via your smartphone or tablet. EOS 80D’s built-in Wi-Fi and Dynamic NFC connectivity allows you to connect to your smartphone.
In addition, the camera can be connected to a PC without a Wi-Fi router using Canon’s Connect Station CS100. EOS 80D’s design is identical to the 70, including the vari-angle 3-inch touchscreen LCD (1.04-million dots). Moreover, Canon also designed its first directional stereo microphone for EOS cameras.
A spokesperson from Canon company explained that 80D
