In a recent statement, Missouri authorities declared that the author of the Butler County tripled homicide confessed to the killing. Drew Atchinson, the Missouri man who fatally shot his 17-months-old daughter after stabbing his ex-girlfriend and boyfriend, is in custody and awaiting his trial.
Triple Homicide Author Denies Motive
Court documents suggest that 24-year-old Drew Atchison invoked no motive whatsoever for the murder of Samantha Fountaine Kitts, his former girlfriend, and the woman’s boyfriend. Kitts and Atchison were not married but have been together for the past eight years and have been wonderful parents to their 17-months-old daughter.
No one knew that the couple hit a rough patch, nor did they have any reason to suspect that the man could have been capable of committing such atrocities.
According to the police report, blinded by jealousy, the man went to his former girlfriend’s house which shared with her new boyfriend. Atchison fatally stabbed Kitts and 24-year-old Harley Michael Million and reportedly loaded their bodies in the pickup truck parked outside.
Atchison’s 17-months-old daughter was inside the house when her mother and Million were murdered. Before leaving the woman’s house, Atchison took the infant and locked her inside the room with the woman’s dogs and left.
He would return the next day in order to pick up the toddler. Court documents show that the triple murder author drove to a heavily forested area near Butler County in order to dispose of the corpses and the evidence.
After throwing away the knife used to stab his ex-girlfriend and Million, Atchison shot the toddler in the head and left her body alongside her mother’s. The authorities declared that the three bodies were discovered on Monday by a passerby and the murder apprehended the very next day.
Atchison confessed to the triple homicide and now awaits his trial.
