Are you, by chance, looking for a cool way to spice up your winter holiday? Then you will definitely like Tinder’s idea of a family get-together. Recently, Tinder considered one of the largest match-making platforms, has announced that the application is now compatible with Apple TV sets.
What does that mean exactly? Well, it means that you will now be able to use your big Apple TV to screen potential candidates. So why swipe left or right on your phone’s screen, when you can do the same thing in ultra-HD?
Tinder’s idea of a white Christmas might seem a little ludicrous taking into account the fact that Christmas is all about family, and nothing’s more annoying than your parents telling you who to date and who to ditch.
But the idea has potential – if you’ve been alone for too much time, then maybe a second set of eyes will do you no harm. Think of it more like a game of matches – show you family pictures of guys and girls and let them speak their mind.
The result might surprise you, even though, in most cases, the whole thing might degenerate into a charade with punch lines such as ‘that young lady’s nose is so big, that NASA could use it for an airfield.’
Now, here’s what Tinder’s proposal for the holidays. The first step is to tell every one of your little plans. Make sure everyone agrees to participate even though it sounds rather strange for a Christmas game.
The second step is to ask every participant to create an account on Tinder. Tell them it does not matter if they’re married, divorced, engaged, or in a relationship with E.T. After that, the game begins.
Everyone takes turns in getting matches (no more than 10 minutes per person). The winner is the person who manages to gather the most matches in the allotted time. And, of course, no party is complete without pranks, gags, and people screaming at the top of their lungs ‘you think he’s/she’s better than I am?’.
Granted, it may not be part of the traditional Christmas repertoire, but Tinder said it could get interesting and, why not, amusing. And who knows? Maybe someone from your family will give you that one tip that allows finding the love of your life.
